The New Venture is a large research vessel that was intentionally sunk as an artificial reef off the coast of Alabama
Wreck diving is generally categorized as either recreational or technical. Recreational diving is usually limited to a depth of 100–130 feet, while technical diving is taught separately
The 250’ long dredge Avocet was sunk as an artificial reef in 1991 approximately 21 miles SSE of Pensacola Pass. The upper structure of the wreck has been torn off and scattered by hurricanes.
